Oz Geier  > Music > In Memoriam: Bryan Harvey 1956-2006
We lost Bryan Harvey on January 1, 2006, along with his wife Kathryn and their daughters Stella and Ruby. I admired Bryan's music and took all of the photos below. As you recall better times while looking, please remember that in addition to being a great musician, Bryan was an even better father, husband, and friend.

A 22 track tribute CD has been released to benefit the Bryan and Kathryn Harvey Family Memorial Endowment-http://www.plan9music.com/Item/8999930419

Oz Geier > This was a little jam that ocurred June 16, 1989 @ Millie's Diner, Richmond, VA (Bruce told me what they named this group. I won't repeat it here). This was not too long after Millie's opened, before the addition, and it was a tight squeeze. I think I stood up in one the booths. Left to Right Millie's owner Paul Keevil, Stephen McCarthy (behind BH), Bryan, Bruce Terrell, Earl Smith, Mark Linkous

Oz Geier > House of Freaks perform at Shafer Court, Richmond, VA on the VCU campus April, 1989. Shafer Court concerts were a miracle, and could never be replicated these days.

Oz Geier > Sorry about the poor quality. It was pretty dusky by then, and I didn't bring my flash. Hell, I'm surprised I could focus the thing after about 12 beers. I can just hear 'Big Houses' when I see this picture.
Oz Geier > Look at this! House of Freaks playing at The Floodzone, 18th St. Richmond, VA July 1988. What amazes me is that that there are not rows of people crammed up against the stage (there would be few shows afterward without). I think this show was pretty packed by the time it was over. Anybody else remember this one?
